THE ATENEO community witnessed a plethora of talented Blue Eagles bring prestigious hardware home to Loyola Heights during the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 87’s extended first-semester slate. Now, as the athletic year enters its second half, Ateneo sports hopes to end its year on a triumphant note as the University’s final wave of teams embarks on a renewed quest for success. Carrying the torches once held by the legends of days past, today’s Blue Eagle student-athletes have proudly continued their predecessors’ legacies and proven their resilience, determination, and resolve as standard bearers of magis. This semester’s primer envisions putting into picture that history is not only a fixture of the past, but a dream presently chased by the Blue and White’s finest who seek greatness by all means. Undoubtedly, the next generation of champions, continuing to strive for more, understands that the pursuit for glory starts in humble, character-building spaces—whether in the classroom or on the court. As the final chapters of the UAAP’s most historic season unfold, The GUIDON Sports, in its 95th year, joins our student-athletes in elevating the Ateneo legacy—not just through resounding victory but in enduring spirit and culture.
