AFTER PLACING fifth and narrowly missing out on the Final Four in Season 86, the Ateneo Men’s Volleyball Team (AMVT) is embarking on an indisputable mission to return to greatness in Season 87. The Blue Eagles’ up-and-down campaign last season has only fueled their determination to rise to new heights, as they aspire to leave everything on the court with every game, set, and point. On the path to redemption, Team Captain Lance De Castro looks to anchor the unit with his defensive presence and stout leadership, hoping to guide the Blue and White to victory. Leading the attack are veterans Kennedy Batas and Jian Salarzon, who aim to pick up where they left off as catalysts of the Blue Eagles’ offense last season. Complemented by key additions such as Brian Castro and Eijra Taluban, the team’s potential cannot be underestimated. Carrying a chip on their shoulder, the AMVT is determined to prove the doubters and naysayers wrong as they strive to leave a winning mark this season.
