THE ATENEO Blue Eagles were outlasted by the University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons in a chess edition of the Battle of Katipunan, 1.5-2.5. The contest occurred earlier today, October 8, at the Adamson University Gym in the City of Manila.

Following their concluding match of Stage One, the Blue and White dropped from second to fourth in the standings of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 88 Men’s Chess Tournament.
