THE ATENEO Blue Babble Battalion finished eight place with a final score of 412 points in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines Cheerdance Competition (CDC) 2015 on Saturday, October 3 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

The Blue and White’s performance showcased a spy-themed routine complete with breakdancing and martial arts dances. The squad increased the overall difficulty of their routine from last year as they featured more complicated stunts, more frequent tumbling passes, and more pyramid segments.

However, the team failed to deliver a polished routine as they committed several errors in all elements of the performance.

The National University Pep Squad scored 668 points and took home first place with a caveman-inspired routine. The team performed a variety of highly complicated pyramids and stunts with minimal errors while their tumbling sequence and dance execution was of the highest caliber. All these factors contributed to the team’s success in defending their title for the third consecutive year.

Scoring Breakdown:

Ateneo 412 – Tumbling 55, Stunts 45, Tosses 39, Pyramids 68, Dance 232, Penalties and Deductions 27
