THE ATENEO Lady Spikers defeated the University of Santo Tomas Lady Tigresses in four sets with scores of 25-11, 27-25, 19-25, and 25-20 on Saturday, July 11 at the Fil Oil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
This win puts the Lady Eagles at 1-0 in the elimination round standings to start the tournament.
Jhoana Maraguinot led the Blue and White with 23 points while garnering Player of the Game honors.
Their next game will be against San Sebastian at 12:45PM on Sunday, July 19 at the Fil Oil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
