THE ATENEO Blue Spikers lost against the Adamson Soaring Falcons in four sets, 25-20, 25-27, 20-25, 15-25 on Wednesday, November 26, at the Fil Oil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

This loss puts the Blue Spikers at 1-1 in the elimination round standings.

Although the Blue Spikers had an eight point difference against the Falcons at 50-42 in attack points won, Ateneo’s unforced errors proved to be crucial in their four-set loss. The Falcons beneffited 38 points from the Blue Spikers’ errors and miscues.

The Blue Spikers were also unable to score from the service line compared to the Falcons’ five markers.

Marck Espejo topped the team in scoring with 20 points followed up by Joshua Villanueva with 13 points. Season 76 Best Setter Ish Polvoroza distributed the ball with 41 excellent sets while Tomie Rivera notched 12 digs.

Their next game will be against the University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers, 8 AM, Sunday, November 29, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao.
