DISPLAYING CREATIVITY and spirit, the Ateneo Blue Babble Battalion dazzled the crowd with their “One Big Bang” performance, drawing inspiration from the iconic Big Bang Theory and the vast expanse of the cosmos. The team proudly performed at the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 87 Cheerdance Competition earlier today at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

With a tally of 270 dance points, 44 points for tumbling, 65 for stunts, 71 for tosses, 70 for pyramids, and a 30-point deduction, the Blue Eagles finished eighth with 490 points.

The National University Pep Squad remained formidable, reclaiming the title with a show-stopping routine that accumulated 713 points. Meanwhile, the Adamson University Pep Squad remained a close contender with their unmatched precision and energy on the floor, collecting 679.5 points.

Still, Ateneo’s performance showcased the Blue Eagles’ heart and soul, going beyond their numbers. The Blue Babble Battalion danced with passion, showing their fight until the end. “My heart is so happy after seeing the performance,” shared Ateneo Coach JP Santiago.

Despite fielding another rookie-laden team this season, the Katipunan-based squad’s dedication to their craft and their unwavering spirit shone brightly, reflecting Ateneo’s grit at the core of their performance.
