IN A letter addressed to Sanggunian President Carmela Vinzon, Department of Formation Chair Chris Andrea Pino announced her intent to resign from her position, effective February 6.

Pino decided to vacate her position due to undisclosed personal reasons but nonetheless expressed her gratitude for the time she spent working with her colleagues during her term.

“I thank the President and the rest of the Cabinet for a fruitful few months, however, due to personal reasons I have decided to vacate my post,” she said.

Moreover, Pino offered her assistance in guiding the next chair who will be appointed by Sanggunian President Carmela Vinzon.

“In order to facilitate a smooth transition for the position, I am willing to help train the next chair that the President will appoint,” she said.

In light of her resignation, however, Pino will still continue to be an active member of Sanggu’s Department of Formation while maintaining her position as a point-person for Sanggu’s socio-political formation efforts.

“Rest assured that I will continue my work very closely with the Sanggunian under the same hope of forwarding plurality, social justice and good governance within the Loyola Schools and especially beyond the walls of the esteemed university,” she said.
