TEAM CAPTAIN

Sean Chan

Newly appointed team captain Sean Chan is determined to lead the blue shuttlers to glory this UAAP season. Boasting of versatility and speed, Chan will take on the challenge of representing the Ateneo in the badminton singles category.
“I plan on leading by example. I am willing to do anything and to play any position, may it be in singles, doubles, or on the bench, as long as it would lead to a victory for Ateneo. What I want my teammates to do, I must do myself as well.”

RETURNING VETERANS

Clarence Filart

Armed with another season of both UAAP and National competition experience, veteran shuttler Clarence Filart has his heart set on gold this upcoming UAAP season. The former shuttlers captain is expected to play singles again this season, having recorded several important singles wins last season.

Carlo Remo

Using last season’s third place finish as fuel for this year’s success, returning shuttler Carlo Remo will want to replicate the season 76 win in his junior year at the Ateneo de Manila University. Boasting of national competition experience as well in tournaments such as the National Open tournament, Remo will definitely be a pivotal member in this year’s team.

NEW RECRUIT

Enrico Keoni Asuncion

A familiar name rings the bell as Asuncion makes his UAAP debut this season. In his last year in high school, the Palarong Pambansa veteran ranked 1st in the NCR division, while securing a silver in the team event in the nationals division. He was also able to participate in the U.S. Juniors Nationals tournament twice in the course of his badminton career.
