THE ATENEO Blue Eagles lost against the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons, 0-1 on Thursday, February 25 at the Moro Lorenzo Football Field in the Ateneo de Manila University.

The Blue and White’s offense lacked any sort of firepower during the match, with one of its few noteworthy offensive possessions coming at the 86th minute, when an unmarked Carlo Liay missed his shot attempt after a cross from Team Captain Mikko Mabanag.

This loss puts the Blue Eagles at 1-0-3 with a –2 goal difference in the elimination round standings of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines Season 78 Men’s Football tournament.

Their next game will be against the National University Bulldogs, 9AM, Sunday, February 28 at the McKinley Hill Stadium in Taguig.
