THE ATENEO Lady Eagles defeated rival De La Salle University (DLSU), 3-1 on Sunday, October 11 at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex, Manila.

Cassie Lim and Bianca Carlos led the Blue and White as they both sealed the victory against Lady Archers Nicole Albo and Alyssa Leonardo in the second doubles match of the evening with set scores of 13-21, 24-22, and 21-19.

This win comes at the heels of the Lady Eagles winning their game against DLSU the previous day, as the Lady Archers had a twice-to-beat advantage heading into the semifinal round of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines.

“We came talaga as the underdogs. We didn’t expect anything. We just played it one at a time,” Lim exclaimed. “And because of that drive and that passion. We got [the win].”

Their finals game will be against University of the Philippines, 1PM, Wednesday, October 14 at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex, Manila.
