Atenean Voice: What is your impression of the new security guards from Megaforce?

Too early to say [on the performance] kasi kakasimula pa lang nila. Tingnan natin kung bababa ‘yung rate ng mga petty theft dito sa Ateneo.

[They’re okay. Here in Dela Costa Hall, there hasn’t been much of a change because Joyce, the lady guard on the first floor, is still our guard. That means, she has been absorbed into Megaforce. In the other places where the new guards are stationed, I think they are more visible, but so far there hasn’t been radical changes. It’s too early to comment on the performance because they just started. Let’s see if the rate of petty theft in Ateneo will decrease.]

Alvin Yapan, Filipino Department chair

Mabait naman sila. They greet you. On their first day, [I was surprised because] they opened the door for me. Parang, ‘Oh okay, wow, thank you.’ And they greet you ‘good morning.’ I can’t really compare them to the previous guards because I didn’t really know the old guards.

Monica Mercado , II BS MGT

Medyo weird kasi nawala naman ‘yung sense of security kasi ‘di namin sila kilala. Lalo na dito sa dorm, where familiarity contributes to that feeling of safety.

Shannon Azares, II AB PSY

They’re friendly and nice. They’re also not ridiculously strict like the previous ones.

Levi Vitug, III BS MGT
