“People should just stay calm and avoid panicking. Also, they shouldn’t forget their prayers, especially at times of crisis.”
– Pat Medina (I AB IS)

“People should start thinking green [like] in terms of usage of plastics which clog the drainage. Actually, I’m opposed to the packaging of relief goods. [People] should take storm warnings seriously. These kinds of things should not be taken lightly. If we learn to listen, we learn to be safe.”
– Aly Agagon (II BS CTM)

“[Prepare a] survival kit composed of water, biscuits, flashlights, blankets etc.”
– Sidney Lee (III BS CoE)

“Stop breaking the laws. Simple trash segregation can make a difference. People should do their part.”
– Bethany Joy Geronimo (II AB Comm)

“People need to listen! Listening is the key [to] being safe and prepared.”
– Ryuji Anzen Santisteban (II BS LM)

“We need a better government. The funds supposedly allocated for disaster caused by natural calamities are all gone due to corruption. This is the responsibility of the government and should also be addressed to the citizens who are planning to run for office.”
– Tam Tinsay (II AB Eu)

“People should stop the culture of apathy. The destruction Ondoy brought reflected most of the Filipinos lack of concern for the environment. If there would be genuine efforts and from most, if not all, of the Filipinos, another calamity would not have as much devastating effects as Ondoy had.”
– Anna Reyes (I AB Hum)

“Improve the government system and everything else will follow.”
– Patricia Liu (II BS Psy)
