Atenean Voice: Is the “Atenista Ako, Pumipila Ako” mantra evident among Ateneans when lining up for coveted UAAP tickets?

I won’t have any comments regarding the ticketing system because I believe Araneta can’t house every single person’s desire to be inside the upper [and lower boxes]. Besides, if fighting and lining up for tickets are to be gone, the thrill and reward of being there in person isn’t as gratifying.

Yes and no. Yes because people try to stay awake or wake up early to fall in line for Upper A and B tickets, and no because if given the chance to cut in line, they would. I guess the root of it all is both the ticketing system and Ateneans’ intense urge to cheer for the team.

Based on personal experience, I can say that the “Atenista Ako, Pumipila Ako” behavior is not evident when lining up for UAAP tickets. I do believe that the problem lies both in the system and the students themselves. The ticketing system seems to be not as organized as it should be. And also, I think there should be people who help out in fixing the lines. The ticketing staff seems to be concerned only with selling tickets. On the other hand, some Ateneans are really just so insensitive.
