THE ATENEO Golf Team (AGT) delivered a strong performance, securing three gold medals and a total of six podium finishes in their return to the golf course at the 2025 Pilipinas College Golf Series Battle of the North. The tournament was held last June 22 at the Camp John Hay Golf Club, Baguio City.

The Blue and White triumphed in the Ladies division, with four Blue Eagles landing in the top five. Iya Fianza was crowned champion after accumulating 28 points. Monique Mendoza and Julia Lorenzo finished closely as first and second runners-up, scoring 26 and 24 points, respectively. Capping off the women’s team’s dominant run was Simi Tinio, who placed fifth overall with 17 points.

Meanwhile, the Class A Men’s division saw a tight race for first place between four golfers. Ateneo’s Enzo Fianza, Anton Lao, Christian Romero, and University of the Philippines’ (UP) Josh Buenaventura tied with 33 points each. Fianza’s 17 points in Holes #10-18 and 12 points in Holes #13-18 earned him first overall. Lao and Romero finished in third and fourth place, respectively, after each carded a bogey on Hole #18.

Similar results emerged in the Class B Men’s division, where Ateneo’s Enzo Udasco, University of Santo Tomas’ Church Uyco, and UP’s Ryan Tanco concluded with 21 points each. Ultimately, Udasco secured the gold medal after finishing the 18th hole with a par.

Also representing the Blue and White, Sean Baltazar ranked fourth in the Class B Men division with 20 points, finishing just one point shy of a podium spot.

Following the end of the tournament, the AGT’s recent accomplishments highlight their potential in future competitions in the AY 2025–2026.
