Team
Despite topping the elimination round for the past three seasons, the Lady Eagles have twice failed to overcome rivals De La Salle University (DLSU) in the finals series of the last two years. Looking to dominate collegiate volleyball once more, the development of young talent will be a key factor for the team.
Team Captain
Maddie Madayag
With the departure of star setter and former captain Jia Morado, Coach Tai Bundit has passed on the mantle to two-time champion Maddie Madayag. Racking up an impressive haul of statistics last season, the veteran middle blocker will lead the team with her fearsome presence on the court.
“We’ll take it one game at a time and work harder in training. Expect our team to play our game and give the best we’ve got.”

Bea de Leon
A towering figure at the net, senior Bea de Leon proved invaluable last season, leading the team in blocks and ranking third in scoring. Known for her deadly quick attacks, de Leon will once again be spearheading offensive and defensive duties on the frontline as the main middle blocker.

Jho Maraguinot
Although Jho Maraguinot missed some key games for the Lady Eagles last season, the veteran outside spiker still found herself as the second leading scorer for the Blue and White. Accumulating a massive statline last year, Maraguinot will undoubtedly add fuel to the team’s offensive flame this season.

Dani Ravena
The youngest of the Ravena siblings, rookie Dani Ravena occupies the setter position left behind by the loss of Jia Morado. The freshman from Miriam College will play backup to Deanna Wong, utilizing quality minutes this season to develop into a future playmaker and write her own story on the court.

Syd Eleazar
Filling in the shoes left behind by the injured Kim Gequillana, Syd Eleazar has been called upon to replace the veteran as main libero this year. The sophomore from Colegio San Agustin-Makati embraced her role in the off-season, indicating early signs of stellar showings in Season 80.

Coach’s Corner
Tai Bundit
Returning for his fourth year as Head Coach of the Lady Eagles, Coach Tai Bundit has his sight set on gold, looking to secure his first championship since Season 77. Having coached the phenoms of past seasons, Bundit knows that the team must refine its defensive capacity in order to have a legitimate shot at the title.
“The team must improve [its] blocking and defense. We want to reach the finals again.”
