THE ATENEO Blue and Lady Eagles continued their University Athletics Association of the Philippines (UAAP) season against Adamson University and University of the Philippines (UP), respectively on Sunday, March 19 at De La Salle University in Manila.

Looking for a late spur

Having failed to register a single point in the last team-tie, in part due to the lack of eligible players, the Blue Eagles entered the round keen on turning their fortunes around. Still without veteran Jolo Lat, their highest scoring player, Team Captain Ricki Yao, veteran Renzo Marquez, and rookies Lance Ting and Gavin Ong donned the Blue and White in this match.

Only Marquez managed to contribute to the cumulative score of Ateneo, as they slipped to eighth as a result of their poor performances of the Blue and White. Despite this, the team remains resolute and determined to climb up the rankings with a crucial clash against Katipunan-rivals UP on the horizon.

Milestone win: Feliciano gets a point on board 4

The Lady Eagles Team Captain Bren Membrere along with Mine Sandoval, Aryanne de Ocampo and Jill Feliciano took on the responsibility of representing the Ateneo against UP.

Feliciano took the spotlight on a fairly positive day for the Lady Eagles, as she managed her first ever win in the competition. Team Captain Membrere also scraped a crucial draw on board 2 as they look to climb up from eighth place.

The Ateneo Blue and Lady Eagles will play Far Eastern University (FEU) and De La Salle University (DLSU) on Saturday, March 25 at De La Salle University in Manila.
