TEAM CAPTAIN

Marck Espejo

The three-time MVP of the indoor version of the tournament has been chosen by Coach Oliver Almadro to be the captain of the Men’s Beach Volleyball team.
“As a captain, kailangan talaga yung maturity and leadership on the court. Ipu-push ko sila at ipapakita ko sa kanila na ‘di kami aayaw.”

Karl Basya

Opposite hitter Baysa will greatly contribute to the total offensive output of the team. The indoor team captain will be able to assist Espejo in terms of responsibilities and in leading the trio to defend the championship title of team.

Ish Polvorosa

The three-time best setter’s performance in the UAAP indoor volleyball tournaments will be a great addition to the beach volleyball team. The setter will resume his setting position in the team, strategizing for the team in order to defend the blue beach spikers’ first championship in UAAP Beach Volleyball.

Coach’s Corner

Oliver Almadro

Coach Oliver led the Blue Eagles to the indoor volleyball finals for the first time in the Season 76. In Season 77, he led the blue spikers to their first UAAP championship. He would record the same feat for the blue beach spikers in Season 78 while successfully defending the crown of the Blue Eagles in the indoor tournament.
“There is a very high expectation for us to defend our title this year in the Men’s Beach Volleyball. But I am confident with the talent my team this year. I know my players well that if they want something, they will work hard on getting it.”
