TEAM CAPTAIN

Tina Deacon

Tina Deacon serves as both a locker room presence and a key big on the thin frontline. The fifth year center aims to lead her team by becoming an exemplar of hard work and dedication.
“I think that the only way I could help my teammates is through motivating them, to try to push them to their limits. Kasi alam ko naman na, all of them are very skilful that they can compete one on one with any team in the UAAP.”

RETURNING VETERANS

Hazelle Yam

The lightning quick wing is a demon on the fastbreak, so much that she could be deemed arguably the fastest in the UAAP. The Lady Eagles will need her to be that and more, as the junior is pushed towards a much bigger role this upcoming Season 79.

Jollina Go

Go is a streaky three point threat for the Lady Eagles. However, the guard’s offensive repertoire consists not only of deep shooting, but also of sleek dribble penetration and a signature floater. Expect Go to shoulder a heavy offensive load for the team this season.

NEW RECRUITS

Denise Morellos

A standout from The Community of Learners, Denise Morellos serves as the lone freshman recruit of the Lady Eagles. With the graduation of Danica Jose and Cara Buendia’s unfortunate torn ACL, Morellos has the opportunity to gain immediate playing time on the Lady Eagles’ injury-riddled frontcourt.

COACH’S CORNER

John Flores

Veteran coach John Flores takes back the keys to the Lady Eagles from last season’s coach, Erika Dy. However, his hands are full as the roster is noticeably different this season.
“This is not the same team. The team’s not going to be as talented, but we’re working on our attitude and our cohesion; our energy [and] our work ethic. Hopefully we can build up from where Erika ended last year.”
