Lady Eagles fall to 0-5 after DLSU loss

THE ATENEO Lady Eagles lost against the De La Salle University (DLSU), 1-6 on Saturday, February 13 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Malate.

The Ateneo’s only run of the day came off a soft fly ball from rookie pitcher Kaira Ventosa, allowing veteran left fielder Kat Villareal to cross home plate.

On the other hand, DLSU scored a bulk of their runs in the third and fourth inning, capped off by a Sam Amores double that scored Lalaine Cunanan and gave the green side a sizable lead that was never threatened.

This loss puts the Lady Eagles at 0-5 in the elimination round standings of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines Softball tournament.

Their next game will be against the Adamson University, 1PM, Monday, February 15 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Malate.
