Jose’s double-double not enough to take DLSU down

THE ATENEO Lady Eagles lost against De La Salle University, 58-63 on Wednesday, November 11 at the Blue Eagle Gym, Ateneo de Manila University.

Center Danica Jose led the Blue and White with a monster performance of 23 points and 17 rebounds. However, none of her teammates were able to amass double figures, with the closest one being Hazel Yam, who followed Jose’s offensive output with eight points.

This loss puts the Lady Eagles at 5-8 in the elimination round standings of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines Women’s Basketball tournament.

The Blue and White are vying for a Final Four spot alongside the University of Santo Tomas and the University of the East, who both hold 5-7 records with one game left in their schedules.

The Lady Eagles’ last elimination game will be against Adamson University, 1:00PM, Sunday, November 15 at the Blue Eagle Gym.
