Ateneo ends elimination round with 69-74 loss to UE

DESPITE A valiant second-half effort, the Ateneo Blue Eagles lost against the University of the East (UE) Red Warriors, 69-74 on Saturday, November 14 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Kiefer Ravena led the Blue and White with 28 points on 50% shooting, with 25 of those points coming in the second half. The reigning Most Valuable Player also finished with four rebounds and four assists. However, the next highest scorer on the team was Von Pessumal, who only finished with 10 points.

UE’s Clark Derige and Chris Javier were constant thorns in the Blue Eagles’ side, as they finished with 17 points and 13 points, respectively.

This loss puts the Blue Eagles at third place with a 9-5 win-loss record in the elimination round standings of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines Men’s Basketball tournament.
