USING ITS tenacious defense, Team Glory Be of the Ateneo Men’s Basketball team defeated the San Sebastian College Golden Stags, 67-56, to capture its second consecutive victory last Sunday, October 11, 2015 at the Far Eastern University gymnasium in Morayta, Manila.

After defeating the University of Perpetual Help in their last game, the Blue Eagles once again relied on their defense to frustrate their opponents—holding them to less than 15 points per quarter for the first three phases of the game.

CJ Perez once again led the Blue and White with a solid double-double performance of 16 points and 11 rebounds, both of which were team-highs. Kris Porter followed up on Perez’s performance with 15 points of his own shooting on an efficient 7/11 clip from the field.

Despite the victory, the Blue Eagles struggled from the field, as they only made 32% of their total field goal attempts (25/76). They overcame their shooting woes by grabbing 15 offensive rebounds, which led to numerous second chances at the basket.

This win improves their record to 4-1 in the team standings of the Fr. Martin Cup.
