I had a hard time thinking about any prominent problem with the system, maintenance, or development of the university, maybe, because the problems don’t lie there. I’d like to see how our president would address issues on values formation of the students. These values lie in the private sphere of the students, but are essential in our growth and our nation’s so I challenge the university to expand its effect on the student’s life. I personally wish to see less apathy, less elitism, less liberation, less individualistic spirituality, and most especially less hypocrisy. I mean this in terms of the values organizations and student groups advocate, but fail to live out.

I hope that Fr. Jett could work towards increasing not only awareness of Ateneans [regarding] social issues but also [towards heightening] their involvement in solving these issues. I hope that Fr. Jett could focus on forming Ateneans to be builders of our nation, to be Ateneans with a heart for our God and for our country.

Basically, Fr. Jett Villarin should reach out to the student body, to see whether the administrative services of the Ateneo are actually effective. In other words, Fr. Jett should see to it that the bridges between the student body and the administration are well built, so that we’ll have a more transparent system at school.

I know a lot of people who bike and want to bring their bikes to school, so it would be nice if there are bike parking lots or racks here in school, even just a few.
