Veteran Blue Booters Anton Amistoso, Miguel Tuazon, Lorenzo Bonan and incoming freshman Mikko Mabanag—captain of the Ateneo High School team that finished second to FEU in the UAAP Juniors Championship—were recently added to the National Capital Region Football Association (NCFRA) roster.

“They [NCFRA] are making two teams, and all the Ateneo boys are in one team already,” Amistoso said.

The line up, which was officially released today, is made up of a mix of UAAP, NCAA and national players.

Hans Peter Smit of La Salle, the appointed NCFRA head coach, will be leading the helm of both teams along with Rodolfo Alicante of FEU, Andres Gonzales of UP and Florante Valencia, who will be the goalkeeper coach.

Amistoso, Tuazon, Bonan and Mabanag will be playing alongside two members of the Philippine Men’s National Team: Yannick Tuazon and David Basa, and the likes of other UAAP and NCAA players.

“It was intimidating to try out,” Amistoso said. “You’re with the best players of the UAAP and the NCAA.”

The following players have also been named in the NCFRA lineup:

Patrick Deyto (DLSU)

Nikko Villa (DLSU)

Stephen Permanes (UP)

Gerardo Valmayor (UP)

Joaquin Melliza (FEU)

Ronnie Aguisanda (FEU)

Miko Manglapus (CSB)

Ojay Clarino (UST)
