How did you find this year’s Sanggunian General Elections?

“It was a little hectic. Although [automation] helps the Comelec in the counting process and narrows the margin for human error. But overall, despite the dirty politics and hectic preparations, it turned out well and we had great results.”

—Bruce Garrick Sua (III AB MEc)

“Overall, it was a little messy. But I liked the fact that they extended the elections. It gave the SOH candidates a second chance. If the comelec didn’t extend the elections, fail na naman elections ng SOH and we didn’t want that.”

—Isabelle Gerundo (II AB Hum)

“I didn’t vote. Hindi ko na-feel yung presence ng candidates, so I wasn’t able to decide.”

—Ma. Janelli Erika Aguinaldo

(III AB MEc)

“It was kind of organized. The computers were really cool but what’s sad… is that hardly anyone voted as usual. I used to be [part of] Sanggu, so I know that getting a failure of elections isn’t something that’s so farfetched.”

—Jaime Villanueva (III BS Psy)

“Regarding the system of voting though, I’d like to point out that it was definitely easier to vote this time, compared to last sem. There were barely any lines to fall into during this year’s elections. Either the system of voting became better, or people no longer hold an interest in exercising their voting rights.”

—Kim Regine Lim (I BS Psy)
