“No because it is evident only in the posters, but not being done and [lived out]”

-Karina Rose T. Casing (I BS Ch-MSE)

“I did not know that there are three themes. So it has no effect to me personally.”

-Ellen*

“The excellence part of the theme is highly-stressed because [the university] makes it a point that students are driven to excel. Compared to ‘celebrating excellence’, the other two themes are not that evident.”

-Angelo Unico P. Villasanta (II BS CoE)

“The message conveyed by Ateneo is given in several parts. The celebration is not a ‘one big’ thing. So, I guess, it is not noticeable that the message of nation-[building] is being relayed. But still, we unconsciously manifested the Sesquicentennial themes with Ondoy [relief operations] and simple ways.

-Julienne Clarize P. Lechuga (I AB Eco)

“I’d say yes if I will think things through. But if students do not, I don’t think so.”

-Melissa Althea M. Tolentino (II BS Bio)
