From the blue foam fingers raised high in the air, to the moving “A Song for Mary” at the end of every match, Ateneans school spirit shines whether we win or lose. But the love for the alma mater is not confined within the courts and fields. Ateneo students and alumni take this school pride beyond the games, and bring them to the business table.
GetBlued
Through their participation in Ateneo Management Association’s Entrepreneurial Challenge, alumni Ken Sy and Kirk Damasco were able to realize the market for shirts with simple and “true blue” designs. Thus, GetBlued was established. They officially began selling merchandise with the Ateneo name and logo in January 2008 in the Loyola Schools Bookstore.

A Shop
A Shop was established when the Alumni Office realized that there was a demand for Ateneo merchandise from members of the alumni community. Since its first opening in a room in Xavier Hall’s second floor, A Shop now has its own store in the first floor.

School Bus
With a meager capital and only one jacket sample, alumnus Clark Jantzen Lim set up a small booth during the 2008-2009 OrSem that would eventually become School Bus. Now, it has set up shop in LS Bookstore, offering not just one jacket sample, but a myriad of other apparel as well.

Dugong Bughaw
Dugong Bughaw is part of Campus, a brand which supplies jackets, caps, P.E. shirts, and umbrellas to other universities and companies. Junior Carmina Mangalindan, who supervises the booth in the Loyola Schools Bookstore, says that although most of the customers are alumni (presumably because of the products’ formal designs) they try to target the current student population as well.
