SOSE exhibits talents to other schools

THE SCHOOL of Science and Engineering opened itself to other schools in “SOSEnima: A look behind the SOSE scene,” held August 4 to 8.

SOSEnima showcased and opened SOSE to the other Loyola Schools, through exhibits, talks, org-sponsored booths, and the SOSE night, held during the last day of the event.

The week-long event is open to all students, not just those from SOSE, said Project Head Kaye Lani Rea Locaylocay (II BS HSc).

“SOSE launch is about opening SOSE to the whole Ateneo community. So what we do, whatever we have, we show off,” she said.

Rains dampen ‘Ig-night’ activities

DUE TO unexpected rains, the Sanggunian had to cancel a parade and free concert, which are part of “Ig-night,” a celebration for the Feast of St. Ignatius last July 31.

The institutional Mass, presided by University President Fr. Bienvenido Nebres, SJ, pushed through at 5:30 pm last July 30.

The Mass was supposed to be followed by a parade of the carosa of St. Ignatius and the Virgin Mary, and a concert featuring performers such as Itchyworms and the Company of Ateneo Dancers. The program was rescheduled to a later date, which is still unconfirmed as of the press time.
