Topping the tables for a third consecutive time last year, the Blue Eagles hold supremacy on the court in all aspects of the game entering Season 80. Despite a smaller lineup this year, the team is still equipped with some of the league’s biggest names, as they begin their defense of the volleyball throne.

Karl Baysa
Leading the pack in his last season, defensive specialist Karl Baysa bears the task of guiding the squad to another championship. Knowing that team integrity and hard work is a tried and tested formula for victory, Baysa hopes to go out in style and continue the legacy of excellence.

Marck Espejo
Reigning Most Valuable Player and Best Scorer since his rookie year, Marck Espejo opens his final term after four seasons of undisputed dominance. The open hitter will be relied on once again to carry the flame with high-powered attacks, controlling the pace on the court en route to the gold.
Ish Polvorosa
Ish Polvorosa’s height advantage and finesse have been his most defining aspects as a top-notch setter in the league. A four-time Best Setter, the playmaker will operate with pristine vision to keep the team’s gears in constant motion, orchestrating the offense to provide fuel for the Blue Eagles’ firepower.
Jino Labao
Another opposite hitter in the Blue Eagles’ arsenal, Jino Labao brings a formidable threat to the collegiate volleyball court. Equipped with a tall build and strong physique, the California-raised utility spiker will be a definite option on attack to compliment the team’s signature use of combination plays.
Ariel Morado
Recruited after a brilliant high school stint at Colegio San Agustin-Makati, Ariel Morado has sealed his spot on the lineup through his flexibility as a talented setter-libero. An on-court catalyst to bolster defensive proficiency, Morado will look to make the most of his minutes as a rookie.

Oliver Almorado
Oliver Almadro’s promise to score a fourth consecutive gold is held dear in the hearts of fans and players alike. Being the coach of the Ateneo team for a decade, Almadro has stood by his teams through ups and downs.
“Matagal na naming pinapangarap na magkaroon ng good legacy ‘yung volleyball program ng Ateneo because it has never been done before (We’ve been dreaming for a long time about getting a good legacy for the volleyball program of Ateneo because it’s never been done before).”
