Michelle Morente
Taking on the responsibility of this season’s new Lady Beach Spikers captain, veteran Spiker Morente is looking to claim the gold in UAAP season 79.
Morente humbly admitted that she has little experience as a captain, but she believes that with her teammates standing behind her, she’ll be able to fill in the role fittingly. “When I’m doing something wrong, they’ll be there to help me. I’m also learning [to be a captain] while they’re helping me lead the team,” she says.
RETURNING VETERANS
Kim Gequillana
Two-time UAAP indoor volleyball champion team member Gequillana is set to play an integral part in the Lady Beach Spikers’ upcoming season. The towering utility will set out to finish on the podium with her teammates in the 79th edition of the UAAP.
Jenelle Lo
As one of the rotational liberos in the indoor volleyball tournament, sophomore Jenelle Lo is the favored libero that Coach Parley will have at his disposal in the Beach Volleyball Tournament.
Parley Tupaz
Coach Parley has been an assistant coach for the Ateneo Volleyball Program for six years, leading the lady beach spikers to a final four finish in Season 78.
“Ngayon puro rookies, puro bago sa beach. Siguro makapasok lang kami kahit top four, [that’s good enough].”
