THE ATENEO Women’s Taekwondo Team is refreshed and reloaded for UAAP Season 87, ready to strike down their numerous opponents. Under the leadership of captains Elaine Borres and Martina Gaelle Ventura, the Poomsae division returns with fervent determination for redemption after nearly making the podium the previous season. Supporting the team is 2024 National Poomsae Championships gold medalist Coach Roel Borjal Jr., who has more than enough lessons to impart to the driven squad. On the other side of the mat, the Kyorugi team brings aboard newcomers Sheean Rigel Dumat-ol, Kamille Calaycay, and Rain Ramon to round out the roster. Now with a bolstered-up squad, skipper James Macasaet aims to lead the team to medal berths beyond individual categories. However, this mission won’t be done alone, as Coach Elmer Rafael is once again prepared to provide his unwavering guidance. Without a doubt, it will be difficult to stop the Blue Eagles as they soar through UAAP’s sacred competition halls, refusing to be taken down until they score gold.
