AFTER CLIMBING the podium in previous seasons, the Ateneo Women’s Table Tennis Team (AWTTT) is going all out to reach the pinnacle of the UAAP and strike gold in Season 87. Falling just short of a title in the Season 86 Finals, this year’s lineup enters their new campaign ready to do whatever it takes for a championship. Appointed as the new captains for this year’s squad, Kaela Aguilar and Celeen Docto are poised to lead their unit in their quest for the top prize. Joining them are veteran Kath Bulaqueña and reigning Rookie of the Year Jelaine Monteclaro, who are expected to continue their stellar play. Replacing mainstays Ann Gela Borbon and Pia Fabregar, rookies Aubrey Solis and Angela Jover aim to continue their squad’s winning culture for years to come. As the new season kicks off, this mix of accomplished veterans and promising recruits intend on channeling their recent success into renewed glory—and ultimately, a crown for the Ateneo.
