Kickstarting Greatness

by Diego Rafael C. Josue

DESPITE LAST year’s challenges, the Ateneo Men’s Taekwondo Team (AMTT) is en route to reach greater heights in UAAP Season 87. The Blue Eagles have maintained the majority of their core pieces while integrating new talent into an already star-studded roster. After finishing outside the Final Four in Season 86, the team hopes to better ensure stability, with returning junior Angelo Mikael Santiago at the helm as the squad’s team captain. The jins are also looking to achieve new summits under the tutelage of the squadron’s head coach, Elmer Rafael. A revitalized lineup is also on the cards as the team welcomes an influx of new talent this season. Gabriel Josef Samson, Noel Victorio Macasaet, Wreily Canao, Carlos David, and Jacob Victor Rodriguez look to don the Blue and White with fervor and pride. With renewed fire and desire, the squad is eager to kick off the season on the right foot as they target the upper echelon of UAAP Taekwondo.
