THE STELLAR third-place finish last UAAP Season 82 marked a new era for the Ateneo Women’s Beach Volleyball Team. Former Captain Ponggay Gaston and rookie setter Roma Doromal finally brought Ateneo to the near top of the standings after years of unsuccessful attempts in landing a podium finish. 

Heading into Season 84, the new Blue Eagles will return to the sands with the same mission for victory but now complemented with higher hopes. Seasoned veteran Pia Ildefonso will be joined by incoming players Ysa Nisperos and Jan Angeli Cane. This triad will be working hard to solidify Ateneo’s winning reputation for beach volleyball in line with their pursuit of snagging another medal. The team has kept themselves occupied during the two-year beach volleyball break by concentrating on improving attack movement, endurance, and most importantly, team chemistry.Coach Henry Pecaña has also taken on the challenge to guide the girls as they try to obtain the objectives at hand.
