FRESH OFF the completion of their UAAP Season 85 revenge tour for 5-on-5, the Ateneo Men’s Basketball Team now looks to reclaim the crown in 3×3 hoops.

After winning the title in UAAP Season 81, Ateneo fans expected the Men’s 3×3 Basketball team to command the UAAP scene for years to come. However, upon the league’s return in Season 84, the squad led by eventual Team Captains Chris Koon and Geo Chiu struggled to live up to the expectations. The Blue Eagles finished sixth in the standings with a 2-4 record, unfortunately failing to make the finals.

The future is bright for Ateneo as they pin their hopes on one of the most promising recruits of collegiate basketball. Kyle Ong, the 6-foot-7 stretch big man from Jubilee Christian Academy, has been hailed as the front-runner in a potential takeover bid by the Band of Brothers.

Despite the bumps on the road, the boys are going to reckon on their newfound confidence and a revamped roster to reestablish the Blue and White dominance that the league has grown familiar with.

Building a kingdom.
