Men’s Judo

THE ATENEO Men’s Judo Team last took to the UAAP’s mats in Season 82, where they were triumphant in securing an overall bronze medal finish. In Season 82, the Men’s Team garnered a grand total of two gold medals, two silver medals, and three bronze medals. With the coming of new rookies over the past three years, the Blue Eagles feature a new-look core that is hungrier than ever for the overall gold medal.

Notable returning veterans are Mark Bangui, Migo Gonzalvo, and JM Flores, who all have the experience and talent necessary to lead their team to the UAAP mountaintop. Gonzalvo was a UAAP Season 82 Silver Medalist, while Team Captain Bangui and veteran Flores look to make their mark as returning athletes in the hunt for UAAP glory.

Ateneo also boasts a plethora of rookies eager to represent the University at the highest level of Philippine collegiate judo. These rookies include—but are not limited to—Trevor Apostol, Elijah Claravall, Yvan Ayalin, and Arhann Rodil. Rest assured that the Blue and White are more than ready to dominate the mats once again.
