PACKED WITH an experienced roster of veterans, the Ateneo Women’s Taekwondo Team is hungrier than ever for a UAAP victory. The Blue Eagles have slowly been climbing their way to the top after recently placing fourth in the UAAP Season 84 Poomsae tournament—a vast improvement from their last-place finish in Season 82.

Coach Ardee Landrito trusts that Captain Elaine Borres, with the help of sophomore stalwart Martina Ventura and versatile jin Eirenne Lumasang, can elevate their Poomsae delivery to snag a podium finish in Season 85.

Meanwhile, having been deprived of play during Season 84, the team’s Sparring jins are eager to suit up for their long-awaited comeback on the mats. After ranking sixth overall in Season 82, Coach Elmer Rafael is relying on Women’s Captains Keir Atendido and Lumasang to steer the team to greater heights. Following Lumasang’s footsteps is Ventura, who can also double as a viable weapon for combat.
