BANKING ON their historic back-to-back championship runs in UAAP Seasons 81 and 82, the Ateneo Women’s Badminton Team is prepared to once again showcase their prowess on the hardcourt.

With a few returning players and looming new talents, the defending champions are now seen as a rebuilding squad that hopes to replicate their former title triumphs. One of the best players on the team this season is none other than Mikaela De Guzman, the Season 82 Rookie of the Year. Fresh from international play, the prodigious athlete De Guzman is back as the Team Captain for the Women’s line-up.

Under Coach Kennie Asuncion’s guidance, the Blue Eagles remain to be a commanding force this season. Even though Ateneo Badminton is entering a new era, every opposing team must watch out for the undoubted resurgence of their powerful smashes. This upcoming season, the Blue Eagles are out to win their sixth championship, ready to take on any foe that stands in their way.
