GRIT—THE longstanding desire and tenacity for their team’s goals—is one characteristic that all members of the Ateneo Men’s Taekwondo Team share. Since failing to advance to the finals of UAAP Season 82, the squad has been working hard to achieve their most desired glory—UAAP gold.

This year, Ateneo Men’s Poomsae rests on the shoulders of Joaquin Tuzon. A seasoned veteran, Tuzon managed to bag fourth place in both individual men’s and mixed pair Poomsae in Season 84. His experience in the previous season accompanied by his recent exposure to the international competitive scene will particularly help Ateneo improve last season’s finish.

In the Sparring category, the Ateneo jins are eager to rekindle their fire of intensity in combat after two seasons off the mats. Leading the team are Team Captain Joebert Padilla and veteran Miguel Garcia III—the last active players who participated in Season 82.

With the product of immense talent and effort, the entire Ateneo Blue Eagles are raring to embark on their path to greatness.
