AFTER FALLING short of a championship for the first time since 2016, the Blue Eagles are now looking to avenge their UAAP Season 84 loss at the hands of the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons. However, they will have to do so without previous mainstays SJ Belangel, Gian Mamuyac, and Tyler Tio.

Despite such losses, Coach Tab Baldwin’s squad is welcoming back and introducing a new set of hard-hitters into the mix. Now, returning to the fold are stars Ange Kouame, Dave Ildefonso, and newly minted Team Captain BJ Andrade. Ateneo is also prepared to introduce new names like Kai Balunggay and Paul Garcia, who are both looking to make an immediate impact once they step onto the court.

Even with the challenges that lie ahead as they recalibrate their roster, the Blue Eagles are ready to make a triumphant return to Season 85. With both returnees and new recruits ready for war in a shortened off-season, the Band of Brothers are here to take back what was once theirs atop the hill of Men’s Basketball.
