AFTER A frustratingly long layoff that had them removed from the competitive hardwood for nearly three years, the new-look Ateneo Women’s Basketball Team is now ready to don the underdog DNA.

The ballclub that finished sixth in its most recent performance in the UAAP Season 82 has since retooled on multiple fronts. By zeroing in on their shooting efficiency, ball movement, and defensive formations, the Blue Eagles have been steadily improving on both ends of the court.

In a roster abundant with zestful youngsters, battle-tested Team Captains Jhazmin Joson and LJ Miranda are ready to galvanize an invigorated unit with their on- and off-the-court impact. Key players Sandra Villacruz and Angel Gino-Gino are also poised to produce and take leaps for the Final Four-seeking Blue and White.

Regardless of massive offseason shake-ups that changed the dynamic of the team, Head Coach LA Mumar and his troops are focused on controlling their destiny in the next season by taking strides for improvement everyday.
